And that church is a gathered community of sent people who are on mission together having an on going encounter of Jesus. And this community gathers not just once a week, but daily is some way or another. And each one of the people who are the church comes together for the purpose of revealing and displaying Jesus Christ to each other and the world out of a real daily organic life giving encounters with Him. And everyone is exercising his or her spiritual gifts for the good of the body, learning to disciple one another, and be discipled every day. A church assembly where the members are learning to live out the life of Jesus together and they are finding organic ways to share that life 24/7/365. They are living for God’s Missio Dei, incarnating His eternal purpose in the world. And they pursue the Lord daily, not only individually, but also corporately. They are living their lives together as a family, there to serve one-another. They take care of one another, meeting each other’s needs. They don’t just talk about community; they are experiencing it in organic life.
My name is Dennis Muse and that is what my house church The Crowed House is all about.
We seek to be a missional community of obedient disciples together being spiritually transformed in Christ through the gospel, devoted to radical prayer and the Word, intentional about impacting our spheres of influence, showing compassion to the poor and oppressed, making disciples, incarnating the Gospel to the city of Independence and the world by living sent.
When we gather we seek to fulfill 1Cor 14:26 and Acts 2:42-48, everyone contributes, everyone exercises their spiritual gifts because these two verse are the foundational blueprint for the church, what happens when the body comes together, how the church functions, and so this is how we function as the church and body of Christ.
"So here's what I want you to do. When you gather for worship, each one of you be prepared with something that will be useful for all: Sing a song, teach a lesson, tell some special revelation God has given or speaks an unknown language or explain what the language means, let everything be constructive and edifying and for the good of all !" I Cor 14:26
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-48
